Adapting a recipe for a larger or smaller quantity can be tricky especially when it comes to baked goods and cakes. After all the chemistry requires exact measures so eyeballing it can result in a literal flop. Check out the table above if you wish to make a different size cake or wish to change from a circle to a square. Beware of the baking times as well as the characteristics of your own oven. No two ovens are the same – some are more powerful, others bake unevenly on different sides so make sure to keep an eye on your bakes and don’t underestimate the power of your experienced eye.
